What’s New With MOOCS?

Strangely, there has not been a lot of writing and publishing on MOOCS lately so I immediately noticed this one “A visualization of the MOOCs offered by Harvard U. and M.I.T.HARVARD U./M.I.T.Surveying the MOOC Landscape.”

Nothing new, just a visualization of MOOCS, check it our here:  https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/04/02/harvard-u-massachusetts-institute-technology-release-updated-mooc-research

    Hi Christel

Thank you for all the great information and ideas through your blog. I don’t know if you or one or your followers have posted on this yet, but I just read a great, powerful new book. Very thought-provoking, all the more as my son is now a junior in high school, so the whole issue of “college fit” for him, not to mention the ridiculous cost of college, is looming in the near future… The title of the book says it all: “The End of College: Creating the Future of Learning and the University of Everywhere,” by Kevin Carey.

John, I am pondering this idea a lot. My approach is to make college and education relevant to students. I will definitely read the book! Thanks for replying.
